Lola is an expert in foresight, strategy and innovation and firmly believes that the three of them are necessary to imagine and build a sustainable future for our companies, countries and world. As a prospectivist, or futurist, she is #9 in Forbes’ list of “40 best futurists in Spain”.
She is the Foresight & Internationalisation Director in Innobasque (the Basque Innovation Agency), where she also had previous responsibilities related to the definition and implementation of innovative strategies and projects involving quadruple helix.
Before joining Innobasque, her career was mostly linked to Strategic Consultancy. Firstly, with Accenture and later with LKS, S.Coop. (a company belonging to Mondragon Corporation). These positions allowed her to gain a deep knowledge of different industries both from a local and an international point of view, as well as very different ways and styles of work (from a multinational to a cooperative).
As Chief Quality and Environmental Officer in Galp Energy, she was Member of the “CEC España Executive Committee” and member of the “Fuel Quality, Security and Specifications Taskforce” of AOP (Asociación de Operadores de Petróleo).
She is a business angel member of WA4STEAM, a group of women business angels that support startups lead by women and focused on STEAM projects.
Lola studied Industrial Engineering at ETSIIT in Bilbao and Engineering in Refining, Petrochemical and Gas at Institut Français du Pétrole-Paris. She also completed an Advanced Management Programme at Instituto de Empresa and a Board Members Training at ESADE.
