BIOGRAPHY

Marta Pérez Dorao is President of the Inspiring Girls Foundation and General Director of FECE, the Spanish Federation of Home Appliance Merchants.

She is a corporate lawyer, degree in Law from the University of Granada. She has completed postgraduate courses in London (Community Law and International Negotiation by the University of St. George (USA) and in Madrid (Computer Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas). She also has a PDG by IESE.

Very active in defending equal opportunities for professional women, she has chaired the Madrid branch of the international Business Professional Women network and later that of International Business Women. She is also a founding partner of Women in Business (WoB), a management skills training consultant for women, and was a mentor at various institutions, such as the Instituto de Empresa (IE). Nowadays, she is focused in her work in Inspiring Girls, helping girls to aim high, by having access to female role models to realise how many possibilities they have in life. Leading by example is the best way to show girls what they can achieve, and help them maximize their potential in any job, mainly in STEM and other very masculine environments.

For more than 30 years she has worked in the software sector, as Director of Legal Advice in multinational technology companies, and has been a member of several Boards of Directors. She was also responsible for investor relations and institutional relations.

Previously, she founded the consultancy Layomba, in Spain and Colombia, dedicated to legal advice and business development in Latam, and was the representative for Spain of the Bogota Free Zone.
