Rita Gasalla is the CEO of Galöw, a firm that she founded in 2000 in Spain focused on the transformative concept of healthy architecture. She is an architect and interior designer, and for more than 20 years she has created personalized spaces, both professional and residential, in which she prints her commitment to the well-being of people and productivity through spaces.
She holds a Master in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a postgraduate degree in urban planning from the School of Public Administration of Galicia. She is a specialist in Healthy Architecture and Neuroarchitecture.
Through Galöw, Rita has developed projects for the luxury hotel sector, different companies and private clients in the United States, Luxembourg, Morocco, Portugal, Panama, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Andorra, and also in different cities of Spain. Her designs and projects, that have given her wide recognition, are based on the concepts of wellbeing architecture, productivity, innovation, efficiency and sustainability.
Currently, she is President of the Observatorio de Arquitectura Saludable (Observatory of Healthy Architecture), which was created in 2020 with the aim of integrating Architecture and Urbanism in the Public Health conversation. In addition, she participates in the Working Group “Healthy City and Territory” of the Observatorio 2030 del CSCAE (Higher Council of Architects’ Associations of Spain).
Gasalla is a regular contributor to specialized media and a speaker at business and academic forums. She is also a partner of WA4STEAM, an international community of investors who seek to increase the presence of women Business Angels in the STEAM fields.
