BIOGRAPHY

Pilar Jurado is one of the most singular figures of European classical music. Composer, singer and conductor, she was the first woman composer in history to have premiered at Teatro Real.
She has performed as a soprano with the most important orchestras in the world such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra della RAI, Orquesta Nacional de España, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra…
As a composer, she has premiered more than 120 symphonic works.
She has received numerous national and international awards throughout his career.
Forbes has placed her among the twenty most influential Spanish women.
She is also President of European Academy of Vocal Art and Member of the Board of Directors of Academia de las Artes Escénicas de España.
Previously, President of SGAE (copyright management entity) 2019-2020, Member of the Board of Directors of AIE (music artists’ rights management entity) 2004-2018 and Member of the Music Commission of the Ministry of Culture 2005-2016
