BIOGRAPHY

Ms. Dancausa is currently CEO and Managing Director at Bankinter, one of the leading financial institutions in Spain, a position she holds since October 2010.
Previously, between 1995 and 2010, she developed her professional career in the insurance company Línea Directa as part of its founding team and acting as General Secretary and Secretary of the Board of Directors until appointed Chief Executive and Managing Director of the company in early 2008.
Her academic background includes a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, complemented by a Management Program at Harvard Business School, an Advanced Management Program at INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleu, and a master’s in Human Resources and Business Strategy from the Euroforum-INSEAD University Institute (Madrid).
Among her contributions to other major enterprises, she held the position of Non-Executive Director at Esure, a major UK insurer, between 2013 and 2018. She is also currently a trustee of the Princess of Girona Foundation, where she chairs its Audit Committee, and a trustee of Bankinter’ s Foundation for Innovation.
In 2021 she was appointed as Non-Executive Director in ACCIONA, the Spanish leader in the transition towards a low-carbon economy.
